The last few night we have felt like a broken record, but last nights sleep was loads better. Yay for us!
We let Aunty Bec sleep in after arriving home from Uluṟu at midnight.
After we all had breaky we decided to head to Kmart to by Charlotte some new clothes in the next size up. She has outgrown her size 0000 clothes.

We returned for lunch and then Daddy, Aunty Bec and Madeline went to Emily’s Gap.
They went for a swim in the cold water and enjoyed splashing around.

Emily’s Gap
Emily Gap and Jesse’s Gap are two small gaps in the Heavitree Range as you drive along the East MacDonnell Ranges.
They contain Aboriginal paintings and are important spiritual sites to the Eastern Arrernte Aboriginal people.
The first European sighting of Emily and Jessie Gap was in 1871. It was thought that ‘Emily’ and ‘Jessie’ were the daughters of Sir Charles Todd, but this was found to be untrue. The basis on which the names are derived is unknown.
To the indigenous Emily’s Gap is known as Anthwerrke and, like many places in the landscape, are associated with the same Dreamtime story. Together these places form a ‘Dreaming Trail’. Emily and Jessie Gaps are associated with the caterpillar trail. Emily Gap is the most significant, as this is where the caterpillar beings of Mparntwe (Alice Springs) originated. These caterpillars formed Emily Gap and many of the topographic features around Alice Springs, then radiated out to the edge of the Simpson Desert.

Tomorrow
Is Aunty Bec last full day in Alice Springs. We have no plans at this time.
