Friday 26th February 2021
We woke up at 715am after a good night sleep. We called Nanna Lin first thing, to wish her a Happy Birthday.
We got ourselves ready and left for Bargara again.
Kelly’s Beach
We drove to Kelly’s beach today to swim in the lagoon.
Kellys Beach is on the south side of Bargara. It is 600m long, faces due east and is backed by a string of houses on either side of the main road. There is a small lagoon behind the golf course, which is linked to the sea by a small creek crossing the centre of the beach. Like all the beaches along this section of coast, low basalt promontories and rounded boulders fringe either end of the beach.
There is a large tidal pool in the northern rocks which is a popular swimming area.
The beach has a sandy high tide beach fronted by an 80 m wide and generally rock-free low tide bar.

We spent the whole morning swimming, snorkeling, building sand castles and fishing.

The afternoon
We spent the afternoon at the caravan playing and resting.
Jason washed down the caravan roof and solar panels. He also reps led the tray of the Ute.
We had gnocchi for dinner and plan to relax tonight around the van.
Tomorrow
We leave Bundaberg district and head north for a night stop over in Rosedale before getting to Agnes Water on Sunday.

Enjoying following your travels and adventures. We are in our van at Moruya Heads for a few days. Bike rides, walks on the beach, taking our Hobie Canoe out tomorrow to Congo. Go for a paddle and picnic lunch. X
