Sunday 9th May 2021 – Mother’s Day
We had a good night sleep last night. We woke up around 7am and gave mummy her presents for Mother’s Day.
After opening all the presents we had a big BBQ breakfast with bacon and eggs on muffins.
After filling up on a beautiful breakfast, we got ready to go and do our groceries.
After coming home we unpacked, had a quick lunch and made our way over to Condon, Riverway Lagoons.
The Riverway Lagoons and parkland are situated on the Ross River.
We took a stroll along the river and saw some wonderful animal life. The ecosystem is thriving with heaps of freshwater turtles and fish.
We returned from our walk and arrived at the lagoon.
We spent much of the afternoon swimming and playing around in the water.
Monday 10th May 2021
We woke up before sunrise to drive Eva to work for a 7am start.
Today we spent the day in the pool and at the caravan.
Tuesday 11th May 2021
We dropped Eva off to work. We drove and had a wheel alignment on the car.
After this we went to ‘Pirate Ship’ park and Madeline showed off her bravery.
We returned to the van for lunch and went in the pool again this afternoon.
Wednesday 12th May 2021
Today was a very foggy morning in Bohle Plains, where we are staying. We were out of the van just after 630am.
After dropping Eva off at work we returned to the van.
We went over to the Strand after breakfast and played at the Waterpark.
In the afternoon we went to drop some books off at the library and played there a bit.
We picked Eva up and then went to a meet and greet at the caravan park. We had a free sausage sizzle and got to meet the locals.
Thursday 13th May 2021
Last night was a crappy night sleep for all. Eva slept through her alarms and got herself ready in 15minutes.
After dropping Eva at work and having breakfast back at the van, we went to the Library for toddler time.
A quick stop at the pharmacy to get anti itch cream as both of us have been bitten by mosquitoes. Madeline was entertaining everyone.
We returned to the van for lunch and then did some education and painting in the van.
Tomorrow is Eva’s last day at work and Madeline is so very excited!!
Friday 14th May 2021
We had a better night sleep last night with only a few wake ups.
Madeline was very clingy all day today, making sorting the car and van very difficult.
It was a relatively quiet day today as we hung around the caravan.
Eva had a cake at work as a thank you for coming to stay. It was a lovely end to her 3 week locum.
Saturday 15th May 2021
Today we woke after a little bit of a rough night. Jason had a headache and Eva had nausea and dizziness. Eva had her flu shot yesterday.
We had breakfast and then left for shopping. We pulled in to the car wash and gave the car floor a good vacuum.
After grocery shopping we came home to start packing and sorting the van.
Madeline was playing with playdoh. She cut out a shape and followed it by saying… “well that’s bodgie.”
We cleaned the van and the car. Packed away everything from outside. Washed the sheets.
Spoke to Aunty Bec and Cocia Diane.
We were getting very unsettled by around 5pm. Madeline was having tantrum after tantrum. We are dinner and had an early bedtime at 630pm.
Tomorrow
We start back up with our daily blogs. We are on the road now for the next 2.5 months. So much to see and so far to travel.
Our next long term stop is Darwin, where we will arrive on the first of August.
