Sunday – Father’s Day

Today was Fathers Day and we have daddy his presents in bed.

He had a handmade card, a new pair of fishing scissors wrapped in handmade wrapping paper, a BCF voucher, a My Daddy questionnaire and 5 dollar bucks to spend on daddy pampering.

We did our weekly shopping and lunch outing.

In the evening we had cake for Father’s day.

Darwin and Mango Madness

This are really starting to simmer up here in the top end. We have 36-38 degree days and humidity of 70-90% most days.

Outdoor activities are starting to wind down.

Northern Australia now enters the monsoonal build-up – the period of extreme weather tension known locally as “mango madness”. It has little to do with mangos except it occurs within mango season.

Mango Madness = irrational behaviour of a person suffering from the effects of living in tropical heat.
