St Lawrence, Lights out and Mosquitoes

Saturday 10th April 2021

We had a 7min night terror at 830 last night. Madeline went back into deep sleep afterwards. after this she slept until 645am.

After a slow start we cleaned up and hooked up the caravan. That’s when we failed out light checks. Right indicator working, breaks working, left indicator lights out.

We mucked around with the Anderson plug and the LED Anderson plug connector. We pressed the pins in, Eva burning her right thumb in the process. We got the indicator working, but then the break lights weren’t working.

After 30mins we removed the LED connector and managed to get it all working.

Halfway to St Lawrence, after a bumpy ride, the Safety Dave rear view camera started cutting out, having loosened the connection on the ride.

St Lawrence

We made it to Waverley rest area in St Lawrence at 1215am.

We set up our caravan for the night in a parking spot in the rest area.

It was very warm, so we opened all our windows and turned on the fans. We were joined by loads of other caravanners by the afternoon.

We had a relaxing afternoon, playing ball and metal detecting around the grounds.

The recent heavy rain has brought with it an abundance of mosquitoes. We have use repellent every time we leave the van.

Tomorrow

We will travel to Mackay via Sarina.
