Darwin Weeks 16-19

Sunday 24th October to Saturday 20th November 2021

So as we settle into the humidity and build up we are introduced to the season of Mango Madness. Everyone is edgy, frustrated and short tempered during the build up and we know why.

You are always sweaty, even inside air conditioned rooms, you sweat. You hair sticks to you, your clothes stick to you, hell even the chair material sticks to you. It difficulty sleeping although the temps do drop to a cooler 29 degrees overnight, it still feels like 30ish degrees due to the humidty.

Add in a 25 to 30 week old pregnant mother and you have cause for concern. All three of us have experiences Mango Madness and have been dealing with the “setting in” if the wet build up.

Madeline has really taken to taking pictures and videos of herself and others these months. We have countless footage and photos of her pulling all sorts of faces, but it is also the time we capture a lot of whats going on in her little mind. We collated a few collages of her selfies and also some of her home made videos during this months post.

Halloween Weekend – 30/31st October 2021

We managed to enjoy some Halloween activities out and about town.

Second House sit – only a weekend

We did a 2 night house sit for the people we will be sitting for over Christmas. We got to get acquainted with with Milly the Wolfhound and Renji the Koolie cross.

Arts, Crafts and Library time

Lots of arts and crafts. Madeline loves to draw, paint and create!

Mango Madness Festival

About actual Mango’s this time. We did tasting of all the mango varieties. Kensington Pride was the winner in our books.

November and December we are doing a lot of cyclone, Christmas and baby 2 preparation.

Eva still continues to work 3 days a week up until 23rd December.

We are also looking into the logistics of our Westcoast lap and Covid-19 interruptions.

A lot ahead over the coming months. Keep safe. Update you soon.
