Darwin Week 25

Sunday 26th December 2021 to Saturday 1st January 2022

Week 25 is Darwin was quiet. We stayed indoors a lot and played with Madeline and the dogs.

On the 30th of December Eva woke up to the house shaking. We had just experienced our first earthquake.

A 7 magnitude earthquake struck at around 165km deep adjacent to Timor. The quake was felt through the top end of NT and WA.

In the evening of the 30th Eva started feeling unwell and dizzy. Taking her blood pressure, it was super high. So we whisked off to hospital for a checkup.

Sent home after 2 hours, some bloods and monitoring of baby Morris. Eva was diagnosed with borderline Pre-eclampsia and so the ball started rolling for a potential induction early on to limit the effect of the blood pressure on the pregnancy.

New Years Eve

We went to the park to enjoy some playtime in the afternoon before returning home to enjoy an evening of frivolities.

We had balloons, glow sticks and party poppers to play with before sleep time.

Madeline went to sleep and we stayed up for the fireworks….the 9pm ones. After a great disappointment we retired to bed.
