GlenErin, Wasp sting and Scootering

Saturday 17th April 2021

We had Madeline join us overnight, after being scared by a very loud bird during the night.

We slept together and woke up at 715am. We packed up after breakfast and filled up our water tanks. We hit the road around 1030am.

We drove north up the Bruce Highway and pulled off at our farm stay at Glen Erin. About 10min south west of Bowen.

We were the only ones at the farm when we arrived, so we had the pick of the sites. We meet caretakers Lucy and Husband Aaron on arrival.

They have a pet kangaroo called Tilly, who was hand raised and resides on the property.

We did a whole heap of washing today. My bra underwire managed to chew through the material and cut into the plastic of the washing machine door. We are lucky the machine works well.

Madeline rode her scooter around with the caretakers 3 kids.

We spent the afternoon playing, hanging outside the van and relaxing.

Jason managed to get bitten on the forearm by what we think was a wasp. He had pain locally and then itching. Cleared up with an antihistamine.

Tomorrow

We explore Bowen.
