Darwin Week 6

Sunday 15th to Saturday 21st August 2021

This week was very uneventful.

We went into lockdown halfway through Evas Monday at work. She converted to telephone consults and we got stuck in our caravan.

The snap lockdown took 3 days before it was lifted with no new cases.

Wearing masks outdoors is mandatory in the NT even when exercising. Madeline wanted to join in the mask wearing.

Life returned to semi normal on Friday.

We took to opportunity to go to the library and change our books and DVDs. Madeline is stuck on Fire Man Sam and Thomas the Tank Engine. There is only so many times you can watch and read the same thing in a week.

We did some art with our dry pressed flora.

Madeline got her new hat from the post office.

Saturday morning we went beach detecting on Nightcliff Beach.

In the afternoon we did a spot of fishing off Nightcliff Jetty.

The tides here are incredible. They vary from between a low of 1m to a high or 6-7m at times.

Such a beauty of a place.
